Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Matthew Allen, Veterinarian
Dr. Matthew Allen is originally from Jefferson City, Missouri. While completing his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Missouri he worked as a veterinary technician at a local animal hospital. After completion of his bachelor’s degree, Matthew worked as a veterinary technician in laboratory animal medicine where he gained valuable medical experience treating everything from mice to monkeys. In 2013, he was admitted to the University of Missouri’s School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2017. Dr. Allen has a special interest in cardiology and is excited to be a part of the Seven Hill’s Pet Hospital team.
Dr. Jill Cordeiro, Veterinarian
Dr. Jill Cordeiro joined our team full time in 2017. She was born in upstate New York and grew up along the gulf coast of Alabama. As the child of a registered nurse, she was exposed to medicine from a young age. She always knew she would end up in a medical career due to her desire to ease the suffering of others and counsel them through difficult times. During middle school, she realized that this love of medicine could be combined with her passion for animal welfare and she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated in 2007 from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. During this time, she also was active in the Auburn University marching band and orchestral programs and pursued a minor concentration in music with focus in French horn performance. She then graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2010.
Dr. Cordeiro moved to Las Vegas in 2010 shortly after graduation and currently lives here with her dog Freebird. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, travelling, and live music. She is an avid Auburn Tigers fan. She enjoys providing professional and compassionate care for all of her patients, and feels truly grateful to have a job she can look forward to every day.
Dr. Terry Keo, Veterinarian
Dr. Keo has been a member of our team since 2011. In 1998, Dr. Keo graduated with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University and moved to Las Vegas after accepting a position at an animal hospital in Henderson, NV. He has worked at a few hospitals around the valley over the years and has a very loyal following because clients love the care that he provides their pets. Dr. Keo currently works with us 2 days a week and also spends his time working at Heaven Can Wait Animal Sanctuary. Dr. Keo has 2 dogs, Ellie and Mushy, and a cat named Buick.
Dr. Lily Prado, Veterinarian
Dr. Lily Prado was born and raised in Orange County California. She has been a part of the veterinary industry for nearly 10 years, working as a veterinary technician for 5 years while earning her bachelor’s in animal and Veterinary Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked for one year as a customer service representative at Antech Diagnostics, a veterinary diagnostic laboratory. She then started veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean and completed her clinical training at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Judy Van Der Walt, Veterinarian
Dr. Van Der Walt joined our team in 2015. She has international experience, having trained and practiced in South Africa, where she owned her own practice, before relocating to her home state of Wyoming. She moved to Las Vegas in 2005 and has been working in both Henderson and Boulder City. She shares her home with her 2 cats.
